Outcome Report

Process:

Throughout the year, our team maintained a consistent schedule of meetings and practice sessions to plan and execute our project effectively. We met bi-weekly to discuss progress, address challenges, and strategize for upcoming events. These meetings provided a structured platform for brainstorming ideas, setting goals, and assigning tasks to team members. Additionally, we dedicated time after school to practice and refine our skills, ensuring that we were well-prepared for competitions and events. Below is the schedule we followed for the second semester.

Team Events:

The team continued to build upon the skills and techniques gained last year. Unfortunately, the majority of participants from last year, graduated at the end of last year, so this year was made of mostly new students. The two students who were continuing, participated and helped to bring the other newer members into the group. Students continued community building through structured activities, led by the coaches, and we are excited to see some positive effects of these activities. Students who met through the esports activities also started to spend time together outside of practice and during the school day.

Final Budget Summary:

Our budget this year, was used to purchase team gear and supplies to support game/tournament days.

Various sized hoodies: $45 /person x 15 = $675
Snacks/drinks for tournament days (competitions often last until after 5pm in the evening, students need fuel!)- $325

Reflection:

Our long-term outcomes continue to work to create a lasting culture of acceptance and collaboration within our gaming community. We have seen increased student participation, and slowly with girls as well. We will continue to increase the diversity of our members, strengthen relationships, and a strive to provide a more inclusive gaming environment. We're proud of the progress we've made over the last two years now, and the positive impact we've had on our community. Last year we said we would focus on more targeted outreach and partnership development, and though we did not fully meet this goal, we will continue to reach out over the summer and into next year. The district is also supporting esports programs and as a result, we have seen a greater number of resources offered for our students. We will continue to grow and strengthen our program into next year and thank you for your support.
