Throughout this year-long academic program, our scholars participate in several components, also known as sessions, which includes Community Health and Care Systems (Fall 2023), Rites of Passage (Winter 2024); Professional Training and Certifications (Spring 2024), and In-Person Internship (Summer 2024). CHYA is a virtual program that is held on Google Classroom, except for the Summer 2024 session, which will consist of a 40-hour in-person internship at a local organization located in Los Angeles |

UNITE-LA'S Tech Pathways Academy powered by Microsoft is a 9 week after school academy that helps increase career awareness, certification, and enrichment program that develops the next generation of industry leaders. Students will complete free Tech certification, courses in AI, software development, product management and system administration. Eligibility: Students must be ages 16-18 and interested in tech career pathways. Students must also be able to commit to virtual sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 pm - 6 pm. |

Participating students will have the opportunity to take part in two full days of immersive and interactive programming. The program's itinerary includes workshops, field trips, panel presentations, and engaging discussions led by experts in the field. Our goal is to equip these young individuals with the knowledge, skills, and passion needed to make a lasting impact in their communities as effective environmental advocates. |

Youth Leadership Program |
The Youth Leadership Program engages in monthly meetings throughout the academic year and participate in interactive workshops and hands-on activities. Students will also attend field trips, build a resume, develop public speaking skills, learn how to network and much more!
Eligibility: The application is open to high school sophomores and juniors. Applicants must live in any of the following cities of Assembly District 62: Maywood, Huntington Park, Walnut Park, South Gate, Lynwood, Paramount, Bellflower, or Lakewood.

George Washington University Pre-College Program
High school students in the Pre-College Program benefit tremendously from GW's expertise in global development, international relations, public policy and administration, politics, diplomacy, history, biomedical engineering, museum studies and the arts. Our programs are intensive and exciting, allowing students to experience the academic rigors of learning in a college environment. They are academically-challenging courses that integrate lectures and seminars with exploration of area organizations.
