Braille Institute
Must be at least 16 years old. Assist in community outreach, become a community ambassador, and much more. California Science Center
Eligibility:  Must be at least 16 years old or older, seeking meaningful volunteer experience and must be able to make a minimum 6 month to 1 year service commitment. All applicants must meet/interview with and be approved by a member of the Volunteer Department before proceeding to any other type of work. All applicants must attend a Volunteer Orientation. Must also attend additional training as deemed necessary. Volunteers are required to wear the volunteer shirt and name badge.

Kaiser Permanente
Hospice Volunteers run errands, prepare meals for patients, provide companionship for patients, and much more! Volunteers are required to complete a 20-hour training course. Support group meetings are held every other month. Volunteers commit 2 to 4 hours a week, depending on the need, when assigned to a terminally ill patient. If you are interested in volunteering in one of Kaiser Permanente's medical centers, contact the Volunteer Services dept. at your local medical center.
